This page gives details of some of our policies that apply to all who use CBC, regulations relating to specific areas and activities can be found via the relevant documents below.

Data protection legislation
If a church holds personal data either on a computer or in a paper-based filing system it must follow the rules set out in the Data Protection Act 1998, and from 25th May 2018, the new General Data Protection Regulation 2016. This leaflet explains what this means for churches.

The Children Act
CBC recognises our responsibilities for the safeguarding of all Children and Young People under the age of 18 (regardless of gender, ethnicity or ability) as set out in The Children Act 1989 and 2004.

Health and Safety Policy
We at CBC recognise and accepts our responsibilities for providing, so far as is reasonably practicable, a safe and healthy environment with a view to ensuring the health, safety and welfare of all those who use the church premises.

Protection of adults at risk policy
